Brief
Located in the heart of São Paulo's Jardins neighborhood, this primary suite was designed for a high-profile executive who travels extensively and desired a bedroom that mimicked the plush, sensory experience of a five-star boutique hotel.
The focus was on "The Curve"—moving away from the rigid, rectilinear forms typical of modern apartments toward a more fluid, organic architecture. The brief required a space that felt cocoon-like and private, utilizing high-performance acoustic materials and a restrained, sophisticated material palette to foster rest and deep relaxation.
Concept
The concept centers on "Sculptural Comfort," headlined by a bespoke, wraparound bed upholstered in a heavy-weight, nubby bouclé fabric. This soft, serpentine form is set against a wall of vertical oak channeling, which provides both visual rhythm and acoustic dampening.
We opted for a minimalist approach to furniture, featuring a custom-fabricated stainless steel bedside plinth that introduces a cool, architectural edge to the otherwise warm environment.
The interplay of light is critical; soft, raking sunlight highlights the texture of the bouclé and the grain of the wood, creating a shifting landscape of shadows that emphasizes the room's quiet, curvilinear elegance.
